About Rose Water
I wasn’t sure how I would use Rose Water so I began reading.
Rose water is simple. Rose water is made from rose petals and water. You can make your own if you wish, or you can buy. It is not expensive. Rose smell is liked by many. Rose water can be used for its medicinal and culinary purposes.

- Rose water can usually be used without any side effects.
- Rose water contains numerous, powerful antioxidants.
- Recent research has found that it can help relax the central nervous system.
This same site tells us that rose has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. (Antioxidants protect your body from damage by free radicals. Free radicals can damage cells. )
Rose water is reportedly beneficial to the skin and to treat a sore throat. The same site suggests that Rose Water can be part of eye drops to treat:
- conjunctivitis
- dry eye
- acute dacryocystitis
- degenerative conditions, such as pterygium or pinguecula
- cataracts

Additionally, because of its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, Rose Water can be used on cuts, burns, and scars. These same properties make it beneficial in preventing and treating infection.
